Worship During Covid 19
At the PCC meeting on Monday 12th July 2021 it was decided that, in spite of the Government’s confirmation that COVID restrictions will be lifted on the 19th July, we as a Church will continue to be cautious and keep to the same pattern of worship we are now following and to keep in place the same restrictions in order to keep everyone safe.
This will include Weddings, Funerals and Baptisms.
The meeting felt by continuing to be cautious we would protect the more vulnerable while cases are still rising and reassure those who were still worried about returning to normal worship
We are very aware that while many of us are now safer having had two vaccines, our children and younger members remain unprotected and some of those partially or fully vaccinated may still be at risk.
We are waiting to hear the guidelines from the Central Church of England and we will review this decision when those guidelines come through and at the next PCC meeting on 13th September.
In the meantime please still continue to wear your masks and keep to the social distancing practises that are in place while in Church.
The 10.30am service will continue to be livestreamed and singing will continue with just one, two or three members of the choir with the final hymn being sung outside when possible.
Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times
