Music Group

for the Sunday Celebration services on the first Sunday of each month

We believe that music groups are a great way for God to encourage players to understand worship and develop their abilities. Our Organist and Choir lead most Sunday services but, on the first Sunday of each a month, the Music Group comes together for the "Sunday Celebration" All-Age Eucharists which are more informal in style. Several of us are members of the choir, too!

What instruments do we play?

We play a wide variety of hymns and songs with a bit of classical, jazz, gospel or folk style as needed. Since the group was formed over 20 years ago, we have had the following instruments in various combinations:

Violin, Flute, Clarinet, Accordion, Keyboard, Tin Whistle
French horn and Tenor horn, Saxophone, Ukulele, Recorder
Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitars and Cello!

Interested in joining us?

We have plenty of room for different styles and talents. We send you the music before the service and then have a 10 o'clock practice on the day so you need to be committed and reasonably competent.

  • Can you read music?

  • Can you play to about Grade 3 standard and above?

  • Do you want to dust off that instrument you played years ago?

If you can answer YES to these questions then there is definitely a place for you â€‹and we would love to hear from you.
